I have retired from attacking Christian Pulisic as a player. I have been very clear about my opinion. Honestly, I desperately want him to be the player that many fans think he is. Currently the leading scorers on the National team is a tie between Dempsey and Donavan. However Dempsey was more prolific with 57 goals in 141 appearances; an avg of .40 goals per game. Pulisic is currently at 25 goals in 60 appearances; an avg of .41 goals per game. So yes statistically he is on pace to surpass Dempsey, but BARELY, .41 goals a game in 141 appearances doesn’t even reach 58 goals. Furthermore, after 60 games on the USMNT Dempsey was avg .52 goals per game. “Shatter the record” statistically nonsensical. “Pulisic has been a starter on 3 major prestigious soccer clubs in Europe....and has started for all of them!“ ...
