Defending The Dolphins for pursuing Watson

Image
DISCLAIMER!! I realize how distasteful the allegations against Watson are, and if they are true, I find them to be disgusting and immoral. My perspective is simply based on the only thing I can have a perspective on, observation. The Distortion of Narrative . Many media pundits will make a correlation between the Dolphins win streak and the end of the trade deadline. Although, it is true that Miami’s win streak started Nov 7th vs the Texans, it is a false Narrative to lazily assume that it had anything to do with the end of trade speculation. There where many contributing variables. 1.) The Defense changed their scheme and found a prolific formula 2.) Tua was injured and returned against the Ravens (the weak after the trade deadline) in the second half. 3.) The schedule softened, the team got healthy and the blue chip rookies started to evolve in the system. The false propaganda that the win streak was in any way a result of stress relief over the trade deadline is simply click bait ga...

Alfie Dogs 2022 Top 10 NFL Draft prospects.

(The rankings are not weighted by position importance just dominance in relationship to their positions.) #1 T #79   NC State Ikem Ekwonu One of the most effortlessly powerful Offensive Lineman I have ever seen. In evaluating his play I was blown away by how powerful he was in moving bodies without overextending his effort. A superior athlete that rarely retreats on his responsibilities and painlessly deflects his first assignment with power to move towards his next assignment. #2 T#67 Mississippi State Charles Cross Incredibly balanced and focused blocker. Elite anchor that rarely is forced to retreat on contact. Elite athleticism to gather and pursue a wide pass rush, and fantastic understanding of the urgency to pursue blocks down field. #3 WR #5 Ohio State Garret Wilson Elite athlete, elite pure hands catcher, elite route runner, elite body control and balance. I would argue that he probably would have been the first receiver picked in 2020 if he was eligible.   #4 DE #97 ...

Diagnosis of a play. Cincinnati Offense

Image
Until today I have not seen one play of Cincinnati football. I have studied the stats, but that is just numbers. I think it is important to point out that their QB is an impressive player. Cincinnati runs mostly 12 Personal (1RB, 2 TE) and they are very creative with this classic grouping. HERE WE GO. As you can see they are running 12 personal, but both TE are offset (not aligned on the line of scrimmage) already a unique twist, offset usually means that the player has a blocking assignment of a defensive player not on the line of scrimmage, already Houston is presented with many variables. The ball is snapped and a unique design starts to unfold. The TE on the field side pulls along with the LG towards the boundary side. The boundary TE goes on a route and basically runs straight at the boundary LB. The Right Tackle attacks the MLB, the LT maintains his responsibility to block the edge pass rusher, The Center attacks the pulling guards man, and the RG blocks the man in front of him. ...
