Alfie Dogs 2022 Top 10 NFL Draft prospects.

(The rankings are not weighted by position importance just dominance in relationship to their positions.)

#1

T #79

NC State

Ikem Ekwonu

One of the most effortlessly powerful Offensive Lineman I have ever seen. In evaluating his play I was blown away by how powerful he was in moving bodies without overextending his effort. A superior athlete that rarely retreats on his responsibilities and painlessly deflects his first assignment with power to move towards his next assignment.

#2

T#67

Mississippi State

Charles Cross

Incredibly balanced and focused blocker. Elite anchor that rarely is forced to retreat on contact. Elite athleticism to gather and pursue a wide pass rush, and fantastic understanding of the urgency to pursue blocks down field.

#3

WR #5

Ohio State

Garret Wilson

Elite athlete, elite pure hands catcher, elite route runner, elite body control and balance. I would argue that he probably would have been the first receiver picked in 2020 if he was eligible.

#4

DE #97

Michigan

Aidan Hutchinson

A ridiculously unique player. At 6’6” 265 Ibs. He has the most compact footwork I have seen in a DE of that size EVER! It allows him to be relentless and concise in his attack and extremely efficient by never overextending his pursuit, benefiting from the footwork of an Inside Linebacker. An incredible unique talent that I am excited to follow his future.

#5

C #65

Iowa

Tyler Linderbaum

Surprise, Surprise, another Center makes my top 10, although not #1. It is no secret that my adoration for Creed Humprey (my #1 prospect last year) is well known and also justified. Tyler is not far behind, one of the most violent and aggressive interior lineman I have ever evaluated. I love his aggressive approach to attacking opponents and he is every bit as athletic as Creed. I don’t think he possesses the nuance to be as dominant as Creed, but man he is going to piss off allot of opponents interior defensive lines.

#6

CB #23

Auburn

Roger McCreary

As a student of secondary play, I fucking love this player. At 6’0” 190Lbs he is a physical specimen that maximizes his elite athleticism with effort, balance, and sheer competitive will. What he did to dominate a talented Alabama receiving group is an unheralded marvel of athleticism and competitive spirit. #23 will always have a roster spot on my team.

#7

ILB #48

Wyoming

Chad Muma

I believe that tackles are an undervalued statistic. Great Inside Linebackers have to be prolific tacklers. Athleticism is not the most important measurement for an interior LB, velocity of play recognition is far more valuable which in turn leads to prodigious tackling numbers. Chad Muma is an incredibly imposing MLB at 6’3” 242lbs. and in 2021 he leads the NCAA in Solo tackles (85) and Total tackles (142), a fact that compelled me to evaluate him. It is clear to me that not only does he have the rare ability to diagnose a play to eliminate hesitation, but he also is an elite athlete that can excel in any organization and under any competition.

#8

G #55

Texas A&M

Kenyon Green

Best pull/trap blocker I have evaluated since I have been paying attention. Explosive off his stance, unreal velocity transitioning from blocking assignments, powerful when adjusting for leverage. I saw him basically embarrass a talented Alabama interior Dline with power, speed, and deliberate movement. A player that at that moment reminded me of the Hall of Famer Larry Little.

#9

OLB #11

Oklahoma

Nik Bonitto

This may sound blasphemous but at 6’3” 240Lbs, and how aggressive and fast he plays, he reminds me of Lawrence Taylor. I have never made that comparison before. I am compelled by how effortlessly he sheds blocks of far larger people, and how quickly he can bend and reach his target with little resistance and maximum violence. I am in the minority but I see something special that will bloom at the next level.

#10

DE #5

Purdue

George Karlaftis

What a powerful player. He played mostly DE in a 4-3 but they lined him up everywhere on the D line. Straight line pursuit player that NEVER got locked up. His ability to just power his way to the pocket with no hesitation or deviation is a marvel to witness. A no delay forceful offensive game wrecker!

Honorable Mentions

QB #8

Pitt

Kenny Pickett

I love how he navigates the pocket and exhibits his mobility and flair without compromising his field vision as a passer. Big kid with a considerable arm and a rare ability to deliver strong accurate throws off platform. He can have allot of success early if he lands on a good team.
