Ross should repeat his viciously criticized pursuit of Jim Harbaugh.

It is easy to dismiss; under the fog of media hyperbole, self righteous vitriol, and overall unrelenting ridicule of Stephen Ross over how he clumsily pursued Jim Harbaugh; that his instincts to believe in him as an NFL coach WAS DEAD ON!!

He threw caution to the wind and the result was a very public and embarrassing media perspective. However, he risked his reputation because he had a conviction, and his conviction was proven to be unquestionably accurate.

Jim Harbaugh was an Elite coach in the NFL. His .695 winning percentage is 5th all time. In 3 out of his 4 years as coach his team made the championship game three times and represented the NFC in a Super Bowl.

In Jim Harbaugh’s first three years in San Francisco his Defense rated 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd in the league. In his first year as an NFL coach he turned a 6-10 team to a 13-3 NFC Championship contender. Jim Harbaugh was 36-11 as a first time NFL coach his first three years.

My brother and I are football historians and we have a hypothesis on how Miami Dolphin football should play to maximize our regional advantage. Jim Harbaugh fits our model with exacting precision. Strong Defense, Creative Offensive play calling, and a commitment to a power running game.

It is easy to ridicule Ross for his much maligned and public pursuit of a college head coach, but I applaud him because history has shown that HE WAS WISE TO ABANDON REASON AND PURSUE! Furthermore, he would be equally wise to repeat his once public humiliation.
